Over the decades, the Department of Physical Education at Mercy College Palakkad has nurtured more than 35 Indian international sports stars (1973–2025), including 2 Padmashree Awardees, 3 Olympians and 4 Arjuna Awardees. Our alumni continue to make a mark in sports, fitness, and wellness across India and abroad.
Pre-Degree Batch of 1979-81. Bursting onto the international stage as a student, she competed in the 1980 Moscow Olympics and finished 4th in the 400m hurdles at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, a defining moment in Indian athletics.
