The syllabus for the Certificate course include, an Introduction to Bioinformatics, Biological databases, NCBI, PDB, SWISSPROT, Sequence Alignment and Multiple Sequence Alignment.
Diploma course consists of Phylogenetic Analysis, Gene Prediction, Prediction of Physical and Chemical Properties of Proteins, Protein Motifs, Protein Secondary Structure Prediction etc.
Advanced Diploma includes the Homology Modelling of Protein, Computer Aided Drug Designing, Docking, Molecular Visualization etc.
The course materials are provided for the students.
The Bioinformatics lab consists of 8 computers with internet facility and an LCD projector.
