THRIVE (Tribal Higher Education and Interactive Ventures for Excellence) is a government initiative jointly implemented by the Kerala Youth Leadership Academy (KYLA), the Directorate of Samoohika Sannadhasena (Community Volunteer Corps), and the Department of Scheduled Tribe Development. The programme is designed to provide sustained academic support, mentorship, and personal development opportunities for students belonging to tribal communities across Kerala.
The initiative focuses on empowering students from Model Residential Schools by delivering high-quality, relevant, and interactive educational content. Through collaborations with nearby colleges, NGOs, and academic institutions, THRIVE uses both virtual and in-person sessions to nurture academic skills, confidence, and career aspirations. The programme also integrates hands-on learning experiences, exposure visits, and creative platforms that help students prepare for higher education and future employment in the modern workforce.
