ELC Club

ELC Club

Election Literacy Club (ELC) aims to empower college students with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the electoral process, enabling them to become informed, responsible, and active participants in democratic governance. The primary objective of the club is to cultivate electoral awareness by educating students about their voting rights, the significance of elections, and the role of the Election Commission in ensuring free and fair elections. Through various interactive activities such as workshops, debates, campaigns, and voter registration drives, the club seeks to enhance students’ ability to critically evaluate political information and make well-informed electoral decisions. Additionally, the club seeks to collaborate with governmental and non-governmental bodies to disseminate accurate information and resources related to elections, ensuring accessibility for all students, including those from marginalized communities. By fostering leadership, teamwork, and communication skills, the ELC contributes to the holistic development of students as responsible citizens. Ultimately, the Election Literacy Club strives to build a knowledgeable voter community that upholds the spirit of democracy and contributes to strengthening India’s electoral system for the present and future generations.
