Welcome to Mercy College, Palakkad!
2024-25 is special for Mercians as this year marks a significant milestone in the history of the college - the Diamond Jubilee of the institution’s founding. We have charted year-long celebrations in honour of the 60th anniversary of the college.
It is indeed a matter of pride and joy that the institution has made immense strides since its humble beginning as a junior college, and emerged as a premier women’s college in the state, committed to empowerment of women through value-based education. All along the journey, the college has held on to its motto, Dare and Hope, and remained committed to the vision of the founders, St. Chavara Kuriakose Elias and V. Rev. Fr. Leopold Beccaro OCD.
As we embark on the jubilee year, I give thanks and praise to the Almighty for all the blessings received. The college has been accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC (4th cycle). In this long journey, our students have brought laurels to the institution, winning accolades in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. I congratulate the student community and the faculty for their untiring efforts. I also place on record my heartfelt gratitude to the Management, PTA, non-teaching staff, and well-wishers for their sincere cooperation. May God continue to shower His choicest blessings on Mercy family!
