Research & PG department of Botany, Mercy College, Palakkad conducted one day workshop on research methodology in plant taxonomy on 27th July 2022 at college seminar hall. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Sr. Gisala George, Principal, Mercy College, Palakkad, with lamp lighting and inaugural address. The keynote address given by Dr. Anto P. V., Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, St.Thomas’ College (Autonomous). The resource person of the day gave a talk on Taxonomic identification of plants based on the family characters. The technical session with hands on training on plant identification at department lab. Both teachers and students are skillfully attend the programme. Total of 7 teachers and 42 students were participated. The session mainly discussed about the key characters for the easy identification of plants. The talk was really informative and exciting, came to end at 12.45pm.
