BUTTER MILK AWARNESS PROGRAM
Department of Biotechnology, Mercy College, Palakkadand MBSI, jointly organized butter milk supply and awareness championing on5.12.2025. Buttermilk is a nutrient rich drink have low fat content. Itimproves immunity, strengthening bones and digestion. Butter milk is a goodsource of vitamins, probiotics, minerals and proteins. The program conducted. TheMicrobiologists Society of India has launched the "Drink Buttermilk and BeHealthy" campaign to promote the consumption of buttermilk as a healthieralternative to tea and other beverages. The campaign encourages institutions to replacetea with buttermilk, ensure its availability, organize awareness programs, anddisplay promotional posters. Dr. Mridul Umesh, Assistant Professor, LifeScience Banglore act as resource person for the event. Medals and mementos were distributed for the winners forvarious activities.
