The Department of Social Work in association with District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Palakkad conducted a legal awareness class on laws related women protection and laws related to child protection on 13/06/23 at Mercy College Auditorium. The resource person of the session was Adv. Vijaya. K, panel lawyer of DLSA, Palakkad. She explained about several acts including POCSO act, child marriage act, child labour (prohibition and regulation) act, protection of women from sexual harassment at workplace, domestic violence act and so on. Students from various departments attended the session.
