19 students of Professional Journalism Minor Course were taken for a one-day field visit to Kerala Kalamandalam Deemed University, Cheruthuruthy, Thrissur on 5 February, 2025 for awareness and exposure to the aesthetics of Communication and the role of Non-verbal communication in Persuasion.

The students were acquainted with the kalaris, that demonstrated live training sessions in percussion instruments, Ottan Thullal, Koodiyattam, Kathakali and Mohiniyattam. The students were accompanied by Dr. Sreedevi K. Menon, faculty, Dept. of English. The group also visited the Heritage Museum and the Nila Campus of the Deemed University.
