“Akshara” is an extension activityinitiated by the Department of English towards service to school children inthe neighbourhood. This project is part of the activities charted out by theinstitution in Ward No.27 of Palakkad Municipality that has been adopted by thecollege for the current NAAC tenure.
Weekly classes in English grammar andBasic Communication Skills were provided to 51 students of Kallikkad GLP Schoolduring the year 2024-25. Fifty students from Department of English, MercyCollege, Palakkad volunteered for the Programme.
