Dr. Sr. Sheila Kannath C.M.C. Memorial Best Research Paper Award, a national-level competition for Ph D scholars, is a new initiative by the Research Centre for Comparative Studies, P.G. Department of English, Mercy College, Palakkad. Original research papers were invited from research scholars registered at Research Centres all over the country. The last date of submission was 15 thJanuary 2021. Out of the papers that were received, the following were declared the prize winners: I Prize – Ms. Nila Rajeev, Research Scholar, St. Thomas College (Autonomous), Thrissur. II Prize – Shani A. Mopila, Research Scholar, P.G. Department of English, Govt. Victoria College, Palakkad. The prize-winning papers will be published in Pursuits, a peer-reviewed research journal (ISSN 0974-7400) published by the Research Centre, P.G. Department of English. The first prize winner was awarded Rs. 1000 and the second prize winner, Rs. 750. The initiative aims at promoting interest in the field of research and encouraging authentic research work.
