Save Green Club, PG &Research Department of English, in collaboration with OISCA International Women’s Chapter, Palakkad, celebrated World Environment Day 2022 on 7 June 2022. Mr. Manoj Balakrishnan, Deputy Director, (Wildlife Education) , Wildlife Circle, AranyaBhavan Forest Complex, Olavakkode, Palakkad was the Chief Guest of the day. Mr. Balakrishnan spoke on the topic, ” Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature.” The programme was attended by Dr. Parvathy Warrier, Vice President, OISCA International, South India; office bearers of Oisca International Women’s Chapter, Palakkad; Dr. Sr . Gisala George, Principal, Mercy College; faculty; and students from the Departments of English and Botany. The formal programme was followed by the planting of fruit tree saplings distributed by Oisca Women’s Chapter, Palakkad. Dr. Trisina M. Alapat was the Acting Coordinator for the event. The programme had 84 participants.
