The Department of Economics and Sociology conducted Project Paper Presentation of 2nd sem PG students on 27/07/2023 at 10:00 AM in EV Seminar Hall titled 'Aarthik Avalokan 2023'. Giving justice to the theme the event thoroughly analyzed the economic problems confronting the locale and provided pertinent solutions to address the same. The session commenced with the mellifluous and tranquil prayer of Rose Maria of 1st year MA Economics. This was followed by the welcome address of Archana, who welcomed the teachers, attendees and the 2nd year PG students. The session began. The audience included 1st year PG students. It was an eye-opening and truly informative session mainly to those who never had an experience of doing a research paper. It helped to develop a deeper understanding of the structure of the presentation: the introduction followed by the statement of the problem, significance of the study, objectives, methodology, findings and conclusion. It gave them a glimpse of how to approach the whole process of research. It also definitely added value and expanded the already existing pool of knowledge and helped the students a lot. The presentation covered a wide spectrum of topics: Ramaserry idli, online shopping behavior, consumer preferences on various retail banks, educated unemployment, gig economy, pottery industry, pension funds, mango farming. Constructive feedback was provided at the end by the distinguished teachers. This was the most thoughtful and profound part of the event. In general, the teachers recommended to focus on the problem statement. Kripa was assigned to convey the vote thanks. She appreciated the efforts made by the seniors and the teachers who worked from the behind and for their generous contribution for making the event a successful one. The seniors also shared their generosity in arranging such a wonderful session, which they hoped would definitely improve their performance on the external. We also hope that there will be many more events like this in the upcoming time. It was truly an informative and commendable one and garnered a new experience.
