The Department of Economics & Sociology organised a Webinar on Dowry Prohibition Act, Protection of Women against Domestic Violence Act on 27th July, 2021 for the UG and PG students of the College. The programme was organised in association with District Legal Services Authority, Palakkad and Taluk Legal Service Committee, Palakkad. Webinar was inaugurated by Sub-Judge, Palakkad Smt. Anupama V.G (Secretary, DLSA, Palakkad). The session on Dowry Prohibition Act, Protection of Women against Domestic Violence Act was handled by Smt. Jalaja.P, Advocate, Palakkad. Interactive session was organised. Students clarified their doubts with the Resource person on Dowry death, Domestic Violence Act, Dowry Prohibition Act. Students also took oath on “say no to dowry”. Hundred members participated in the webinar.
