Jingle & Mingle

This year’s Christmas celebrations “Jingle & Mingle” was jointly organized by the department of Computer Science and Economics. The celebration began from 21st December 2022 with a very energetic flash-mob in the morning and later that day students from economics department invited principal, all the teaching and non-teaching staff for the celebrations with an enthusiastic and lively carol. On 23rd December 2022, the celebrations began at 10:30 a.m. in the college auditorium with a prayer dance, in the presence of our dear principal Rev. Dr. Sr. Gisala George and vice-principal Rev. Dr. Sr. Nirmal, it was rooted in the love, power and knowledge of Jesus. We had Rev. Fr. Franco Vadakkan Kappuche as our chief guest, who is the director of Secular Fransican Order and Asst. director of Sinai Renewal Centre. Nidha of D2 economics welcomed the gathering. The tiny little kids of our creche also joined us for the celebrations with a dance. Then, there was conventional performance of Margamkali, the most popular ritual art form of Christian community in Kerala. Afterwards, Rev. Father gave a speech which was entertaining and enlightening at the same time. Christmas being a time for singing carols a mind-blowing carol song was presented by the team who bagged first place in the carol song competition. Following, there was an outstanding performance by the non-teaching staff of our college. We were really happy as they celebrated Christmas with us. Then, a very thought-provoking skit about the good and bad deeds in life was presented by the students of economics department. Just as how light enters into the darkness there was a beautiful performance in the form of Candle Dance which was a visual treat. After that, there was a skit on the birth of Jesus Christ presented by students of Computer Science Department. Then, Rosemaria, entertained us with her melodious voice just as how music fills the cup of silence like a wine. Afterwards, to evoke the nostalgic feel in the minds there was a 90’s dance performance. Following, there was also an electrifying performance of fusion dance. Henceforth, prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions held as a part of Christmas celebrations such as, Christmas card making, live crib and carol song, by our principal. In card making, Rameesa M and Saranya G from Dept. of Mathematics (D2) and Gowri R Dept. of Biotechnology (D2) bagged first and second prizes respectively. In Live Crib, the first place was secured by Dept. of Mathematics (D2) and Dept. of Physics (D2) secured the second place. In carol song competition, the Dept. of Computer Application got the first place and Dept. of Chemistry (D2) secured the second place. The celebrations came to a conclusion with the Nasik Dhol, which was arranged inside the campus and it further electrified the environment. The whole celebration was vibrant and colorful.
