The PG Department of Economics and Sociology, Mercy College Palakkad organized a film promotion program for the movie Pappachan Ollivilannu at the college auditorium on July 25, 2023. The movie “PappachanOllivilannu” is directed by Sinto Sunny, who is an enthusiastic and determined face in the Malayalam movie industry. His mentor, Jibu Jacob Sir, also came to the event. Production of the movie was done by Thomas Thiruvalla Film Release. The movie includes established Mollywood actors like Saiju Kurup, Srinda, Aju Varghese, and so on. Renowned music director and national award winner Sri Ouseppachan Sir, who succeeded with the music for this movie, came to make this event more exciting. Prominent movie stars like Darshana Sudarshan, Kalabhavan Rehman, Shyju Adimali, Kudassanadu Kanakkam, Geethi Sangeetha, and child actors like Siddhu, Sreelakshmi, and Sooryakiran showed up at the event and made it a grand success. Akhila Anand and Rithuraj Richu, who are well-known singers in the Malayalam movie industry, also entertained the whole college. Altogether, the program was a big hit. Students and teachers, as well as the promotion team, enjoyed the program to the maximum.
