On March 8th 2025, the Department of Social Work, in collaboration with the Jai Christo Social Trust, celebrated International Women’s Day at Mercy Home, Palakkad. The event was organized to honour the women’s contributions to society and to raise awareness about the ongoing struggles and empowerment of women. The theme of Internal Women’s Day 2025 is “Accelerate Action” - is a global initiative that urges the recognition of strategies, resources, and efforts that contribute to advancing women’s rights, while also advocating for their expansion and implementation. The programmes were coordinated by Ms. Rose Paul & Ms. Safrina A of 2nd year MSW students under the support of MS. Betty Thomas Head, Department of Social Work. 70 participants were gathered in the celebration.
