The Research and PG Department of Physics at Mercy College, Palakkad, conducted a 32-hour Internship program, 'MY HOME-MY SERVICE,' in collaboration with St. Mary’s Polytechnic Institute. Held from April 26, 2024, this internship aimed to empower girls to manage household technical issues. Twenty four students received hands-on training in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing areas, emphasizing safety measures. Topics included gas stove and AC maintenance, vehicle tyre changing, drilling, and more, with flexibility for additional topics. The course concluded with evaluation process and a certificate awarding ceremony.
