The Post Graduate and Research Department of Physics, Mercy College, Palakkad, organized a lecture titled “Elephant Tales from Home” on 13th August 2025 in the Seminar Hall. The resource person, Mr.Aneesh Sankarankutty, Elephant researcher and wildlife photographer, shared engaging insights on elephant life and behaviour from his fieldwork and award-winning photography, including recognition from Nature in Focus and the Sony World Photography Awards. Special guest Dr. Meena P Kumar stressed the importance of wildlife conservation and praised the speaker’s contributions. Students from multiple departments participated actively, making the session interactive and inspiring. Coordinated by Athira R (Student) and Dr. Lakshmi M (Staff), the program highlighted both scientific knowledge and the value of ecological balance.
