PI Day was conducted by the Ist M.Sc Mathematics students on 8th and 9th April 2021. Pi Day celebration was conducted through the online platform. On the first day (8thApril 2021) competitions conducted were Cartoon Drawing, Pi- Model making, Pi – words and Sudoku. Cartoon drawing competition was conducted from 7 pm to 8 pm. There were three participants and the winners were 1st Prize Karthika , IInd year B.Sc Mathematics 2nd Prize Shreya , IInd year B.Sc Mathematics Pi-modelling was conducted from 10 am to 12.30 pm. There were two participants and the winners of the competition were 1st Prize Aleesha , IInd year B.Sc Mathematics 2nd Prize Reshma. R, IInd year B.Sc Mathematics. Pi-word competition was conducted from 3pm to 3.20 pm. There were nine participants and the winners were 1st Prize Aishwarya.M & Aishwarya.R, IInd year B.Sc Mathematics 2nd Prize Aparna.S IInd year B.Sc Mathematics. Sudoku competition was conducted from 4 pm to 5 pm. It was at three level competition. There were 15 participants and the winners were Poornima and Aparna of IInd year B.Sc Mathematics. On the second day, 9/4/2021, quiz competition was conducted from 10 am to 12.30 pm which was on 3 levels. There were 30 participants and the winners were 1st Prize Aparna Suresh, IInd year B.Sc Mathematics 2nd Prize Poornima Vijayakumar, IInd year B.Sc Mathematics. After the competitions an online meeting was conducted by PG Dept of Mathematics at 2pm on Zoom online platform. The session started with a prayer followed by a welcome speech by Dr. Sr. Jorry T.F, HOD, Dept of Mathematics. A powerpoint presentation to enrich the knowledge of pi was given by students of Mathematics Department. Later the winners of various competitions which was conducted as a part of Pi-Day celebration was declared. The session came to an end with a vote of thanks.
