The National Statistics day celebration was conducted by UG Second year Mathematics students from June 22nd – 29th, 2021 through the online platform. On 22nd June 2021 , Quiz competition was conducted through Google forms at 3pm. There were 15 participants and the winners were: 1st prize : Poornima V, IIIrd year Mathematics 2nd prize : Sangeetha M, IIIrd year Economics 3rd prize : Roopa R, IInd year Computer Science On 23rd June 2021, drawing competition was conducted through Google Meet at 3pm. There were three participants and the winner was: 1st prize : Karthika P, , IIIrd year Mathematics On 24th June 2021, puzzle competition was conducted through Google Meet at 3pm. There were 8 participants and the winners were: 1st prize: Sreelakshmi S, , IIIrd year Mathematics 2nd prize: Poornima V and Aswathi H, , IIIrd year Mathematics On 25th June 2021, data interpretation competition was conducted through Google forms at 3pm. There were three participants and the winner was: 1st prize: Poornima V , IIIrd year Mathematics After the competitions, a virtual meeting was conducted by the PG Department of Mathematics on 29th June 2021, at 2pm through Google Meet. The session started with the Association inauguration, MathRates, followed by a prayer and a welcome speech by Dr. Sr. Jorry T.F, HoD of Mathematics and Statistics. The students of Department of Mathematics presented Power point presentations to mark the importance of Statistics and its applications. Later the winners of various competitions which were conducted as a part of National Statistics day celebration was announced. The session came to an end with a vote of thanks.
