The inauguration of ‘Chemistry Association’, Department of Chemistry Mercy College, Palakkad was held on 11thJanuary 2024 from 12:50 pm to 2.00 pm at seminar hall. The chief guest of theseminar was Dr Sandeep K., Department of Chemistry, Govt Victoria College,Palakkad. Dr Sandeep K. delivered a lecture on “What is Science Research and whyis it important?”Heexplained to the students how the shortage of appropriately skilled workers canbecome a threat to any country's future achievements. He shed light on chemistry-relatedprofessions and the importance of choosing chemistry as a career, and as a STEMoccupation. The students had a great time in interacting with him and Dr Sandeepwas very much excited to answer the various doubts of the students. More than70 students participated in the seminar and the event ended at 2.00pm.
