United Nations General Assembly has designated September 16 as the international day for the preservation of the Ozone layer. The ozone layer, a fragile shield of gas, protects the Earth from the harmful portion of the rays of the sun, thus helping preserve life on the planet. Ozone day observation was organized by the department on 16th September 2021. Various programme was organized like Quiz competition, Bottle art, Dairy entry and Doodle art. Ozone observation helped to create awareness about major environmental issues. Ozone layer depletion, awareness and sensitization is of utmost importance.
