The Department of Chemistry organised a Career Orientation Programme on Higher Education and Employment Opportunities in polymer chemistry for B. Sc. final year students on 11th November 2023. Mr. Nidhin, Techinical assistant, CIPET, Palakkad was the resource person. He motivated the students to take up higher studies after graduation as higher education gives better employability and salary in various fields like teaching, research, industry, etc. He also touched upon the All India Polymer Science Institutes, where students can pursue higher studies related to polymer Chemistry, etc. Resource person urged students to take entrance examinations conducted by prestigious Institutes like TIFR, ICAR, CFTRI, IISc, IITs, etc. The students interacted with the resource person and clarified their doubts. About 30 students got benefited from this programme.
