National Reading Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Department of Computer science at Mercy College,Palakkad, on June 19th 2025. The event aimed to promote the joy of reading and honor the legacy of P.N. Panicker, the "Father of the Library Movement in Kerala". Various activities were organized to engage students and foster a love for books.
Two events were conducted for the students. Students presented short video presentations on the importance of reading and also a debate was organized for understanding reading in the present era.
The celebration concluded with a sense of accomplishment and a renewed commitment to reading. Students and teachers alike enjoyed the interactive and engaging activities, which were designed to make reading a fun and rewarding experience. The event served as a reminder of the profound impact of reading on personal and academic growth.
