In celebration of World Environment Day, thePostgraduate and Research Department of Chemistry, Mercy College, Palakkad,organized a Nature Walk and Environmental Awareness Drive on 5thJune 2025 at 11:00 AM. The event aimed to fosterenvironmental consciousness among students and promote awareness within thelocal community. Twenty students enthusiasticallyparticipated in the event. The nature walk was conducted through the paddy fields of Kannadi,allowing students to connect closely with nature and observe the localecosystem. The students actively engaged with the nearby residents, deliveringkey messages on sustainable living, pollution prevention, water conservation, and theimportance of preserving biodiversity. Leaflets and verbalcampaigns were used to convey the messages effectively. This initiativeencouraged students to contribute to greener surroundings by planting seeds andnurturing them.
