COMMUNITY LIVING - 'EZHIL 2025'

TheDepartment of Social Work, as an integral component of the MSW curriculum,successfully organized a five-day Community Living Camp in collaboration withEllora Foundation, Koduvayur at Koduvayur gram panchayat. The camp wasconducted from December 26th, 2025, to December 30th,2025, with the primary objective of inculcating social responsibility,leadership qualities, teamwork, and professional competence among theparticipating students.

TheCommunity Living Camp Ezhil 2025 was formally inaugurated on 26thDecember 2025 by Mr. K. M. Febin, District Panchayat Member, KoduvayurDivision. The inaugural session provided an overview of the camp objectives andactivities, helping community people to understand the purpose and significanceof community living.

Afree medical camp was organized at A.L.P School in collaboration with PIMSHospital, Ahalia Hospital, and Dr. Rootz Hospital. A street play and flash mobwere performed at Pittupeedika Junction to create awareness about the harmfuleffects of drug abuse. A community cultural programme and campfire wereorganized to encourage interaction, cultural exchange, and bonding betweentrainees and community members. The students conducted a community surveyfocusing on health, education, waste management, and other social issues.Arranged some sessions related with personalities development, stressmanagement, leadership skills and group dynamics, women’s health, participatoryrural appraisal, theatre workshop etc. The community living camp coordinated byMs. Sruthimol K, faculty, Ms. Anjaly P X and Ms. Amrutha K, studentcoordinators.
