The Department of History, Mercy College, Palakkad organized an awareness session on “Domestic Violence and Women’s Rights in India” on 16 October 2025 in association with YMCA Palakkad. The session was led by Adv. Sheeba Nandajan, who explained key legal provisions and emphasized the importance of legal awareness in protecting women’s rights. The interactive programme encouraged students to engage critically with social issues, promoting legal literacy, empathy and proactive action against domestic violence.
