The Department of History, Mercy College, Palakkad celebrated Independence Day with the programme “Jaagriti” on 14 August 2025, fostering patriotic spirit and honouring India’s freedom struggle. The event featured inspiring addresses, cultural performances and activities such as group songs, quiz, dance and skits highlighting both historical sacrifices and contemporary social issues. The celebration concluded with energetic performances and a disciplined display by NCC cadets, leaving students inspired with a sense of national pride and responsibility.
