NationalScience Day is celebrated annually in India on February 28 to commemorate the discovery ofthe 'Raman Effect' by Sir C. V. Raman in 1928, for which he won the Nobel Prizein Physics in 1930. The day aims to popularize science, encouragescientific temper, and highlight achievements in the field. The 2026 theme is "Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat" Department of Biotechnologycelebrated Science day and conducted two different events for students voice ofdiscovery and Innovista Sketch Fest.
