The one-day international workshop on “Visual Design and the Craft of Performance” was organised jointly by the PG and Research Department of English and the Department of History & Political Science, Mercy College, with the primary objective of exposing students to global perspectives in theatre, visual design, and performance aesthetics. The workshop was led by Dr. Peter Cooke AM, an internationally respected arts administrator, educator, designer, and academic. Dr Cooke is University Professor Emeritus and former Head of the School of Drama at Carnegie Mellon University, USA, one of the world’s foremost institutions for performing arts education. The programme was attended by a select group of students from BA English and History streams (42 students). E Certificates were given to participants.
