The department of Language (Malayalam), Mercy college, Palakkad celebrated Kerala Piravi with great enthusiasm to commemorate the formation of the state of the Kerala on 1 November, 1956. the program aimed to honour Kerala's rich cultural heritage , historical significance and linguistic diversity. The event began with an inaugural speech by Dr Girija, Assistant Professor, Mercy college, Palakkad on the topic "The History of Kerala'. Dr Girija, deliverd an insightful talk, highlighting Kerala's historical evolution, its role in shaping Indian culture and its contributions to literature art and socio-political movements.
