Department of Social Work in association with Don Bosco Migrants ’help Desk and Salvation Army Migrants ‘Suraksha Project organized an educational support kits distribution for migrant students and Honoring the excellent performers. As a part of this programme Social Work department conducted a school supply drive for the guest worker’s children. School supply drive named ‘BRIGHT BEGINNINGS ‘. The collection period of charity event lasted for two weeks. On 16th July Educational support kits distribution and Honoring the excellent performers were held at Pudussery Grama Panchayat Auditorium. Welcome speech was delivered by Shri. Shanoy PM (Palakkad district coordinator of KISMAT). Programme begins with the special performance of Social work trainees. Inauguration was held by Ms. Praseetha (President of Pudussery Grama Panchayat) and Honoring the students those who have excellent performance in Plus two with presenting trophy. Support kits were given to 72 Students. The programme ended with the vote of thanks of Shri. Adith (Counsellor, salvation army migrants ’suraksha project).
