The department started a heritage museum in 2012 with the aim of collecting antiquities of historical importance. The museum still houses artefacts from various periods, some of which were donated and some of which had been acquired before. This resulted from people’s general interest in collecting antiques and historical relics. The student community now has a greater understanding of the preservation of historical artefacts and monuments thanks to the heritage museum and an elective paper in archaeology.
