In connection with World Conservation Day Department of Economics and Sociology conducted a 'Nattupookkal Shegharana Mathsaram' on July 26 at Leisure Tower. Students of six teams ( 2 of each ) from different departments participated for the same. They brought different varieties of flowers, that they collected from their surroundings. The main aim of this program was to familiarise the rare species of traditional flowers and their name. After that, judges from zoology and sociology department teachers gave awareness about the use of traditional flowers and why they need to be protected. With 72 varieties of flowers, a team from the history department won the first prize.
