Model Parliament Competition

Department of Economics and Sociology, Mercy College Palakkad, in association with the Institute of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Kerala, participated in the state-level MODEL PARLIAMENT COMPETITION. Almost 56 students from UG and PG Department of Economics participated in the Competition. The competition was conducted at Mercy College on 9th January 2023. The judging of the competition was done by Mr. Purushothaman sir and Mr. Balamuralikrishnan sir from the Institute of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Kerala. The model of the Parliament was set up in the main seminar hall, and students played their roles as various Members of parliament. The judges were impressed by the performance and overall model that were set up by the college, and the judges also gave advice for better understanding the Parliamentary Code of Conduct. model-parliment-1
