Research and PG Department of Physics, Mercy College, Palakkad organized an interaction session with an eminent Scientist Prof. Kannan Ramaswamy, from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (Hyderabad Campus) on 17th June 2023. Professor Kannan’s present work is oriented towards bridging the gap between academia, industry, and the public in the field of renewable energy. The interaction session was made interesting and informal by the speaker, by narrating his own story towards success. He explained how he grabbed every opportunity to grow, out of his interest in Physics. He motivated the students to work hard towards success. In the second half of the session, the speaker gave a chance for every student to come out of their inhibition and actively participate in group discussion. The session was attended by 40 students from the Physics and Chemistry departments.
