On January 12, 2024, from 12:50 to 1:50 pm, the PG and ResearchDepartment of Chemistry, Mercy College, Palakkad hosted a lecture for UG and PGstudents on "International Research Opportunities in Chemistry." Analumnus of our college, Dr. Varshini.J., was the seminar speaker. She gave anexplanation of the expanding significance of chemical research. Investigatingchemical research prospects overseas may entail visiting university websites,getting in touch with instructors, and researching international researchinitiatives, establishing connections during internships and projects. Shethoroughly described the difficulties Indians encounter when pursuing PhDsoverseas. The students had a great time in interacting with her and she was very much excited to answer the variousdoubts for the students. More than 70 students participated in the seminar andthe event ended at 2.00pm.
