The Department of Computer Applications organized a seminar on “Generative AI and ChatGPT” for BCA students on October 10, 2023. The event aimed to provide students with insights into the rapidly evolving field of Generative Artificial Intelligence and the applications of ChatGPT in various domains. We were honoured to have Mr. Kumaresan, the Head and Assistant Professor of Sri Achuthamenon College, Thrissur, as our esteemed Chief Guest. The seminar began with an inaugural address by principal, welcoming all participants and highlighting the importance of staying updated with the latest advancements in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Mr. Kumaresan, in his keynote speech, provided a comprehensive overview of Generative AI and its significance in contemporary technology. The seminar featured a session on the fundamentals of Generative AI, explaining concepts like neural networks, deep learning, and generative models. This session was aimed at helping students grasp the underlying principles of AI technology. A significant portion of the seminar was dedicated to ChatGPT, a cutting-edge AI model for natural language processing. Students learned about the architecture, training, and real-world applications of ChatGPT, such as chatbots, content generation, and customer support.
