The Department of Social Work organized a community living camp titled ‘Navachethana 2025’ at Pallassena Gram panchayat. It was a five days residential camp starts from 24th to 28th January 2025. The department also collaborated with Centre for Life Skills Learnings, Nemmara, an NGO working in the field of life skills training and Pallassena Gram panchayat. Ms. Sai Radha, President, Nemmara Block Panchayat inaugurated the community living camp. The social work students conducted a socio-economic survey among the scheduled caste community of Pallassena Gram Panchayat and identified the major problems faced by the people. The report was submitted to both the Panchayat and Shri. O. R. Kelu, Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Castes. A community event was coordinated by the social work students at Pallavur.
