As part of Mercy extension activities The department of Languages (Malayalam) coordinated a programme named SANTHWANAM on 9th January 2025 aimed to bring joy and comfort to the elderly woman residents of Mercy home (an old age home belongs to Mercy college) .The visit fostered emotional connections between generation and provide essential support to the elderly .Leading up to the visit , students and teachers actively participated in collecting essential items, These contributions were made possible through generous donations from students and faculty , ensuring that the residents of Mercy home received much -indeed support . The students and teachers engaged in heart felt conversations ,Listening to the life stories and experiences of the elderly. A series of cultural performance followed , including dance and music. The elderly residents joined in the performance by singing and sharing their talents
