As part of World Hindi Day Celebration, the Department of Languages (Hindi), Mercy College Palakkad organized a One Day Seminar on the topic “Vaishvik Sthar Par Hindi “on 31 st January 2025. The Seminar aimed to highlight the International significance of the Hindi Language its expansion in various fields and the challenges it faces in the digital era. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. C.S. Soumya, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi, SN College, Alathur. She emphasized the growing recognition of Hindi as an International Language, highlighting its increasing use in global communication, diplomacy and digital platforms. She discussed how Hindi has expanded beyond India through literature , Cinema and Social media , gaining a significance presence in different countries . Her insightful address inspired the audience to contribute to the growth and promotion of Hindi on an International scale.
