SEMINAR ON REPUBLIC DAY

The Department of Languages, Mercy College, Palakkad, organized a seminar as part of the Republic Day Celebrations on 24th January 2025. The session, titled "Building a Harmonious Society: Youth as Agents of Change," aimed to educate students about the significance of the Indian Republic and their role in fostering unity and social harmony. The keynote speaker, Smt. Shainy .E.T (Assistant Professor, Department of History ,Mercy college ,Palakkad) delivered an insightful speech on the importance of the Constitution, the rights and responsibilities of citizens, and the role of youth in preserving democratic values. She emphasized the need to uphold justice, equality, and freedom in modern society and highlighted how young individuals can act as catalysts for positive change in building a more inclusive and united nation. The seminar provided students with a deeper understanding of India's democratic foundations and encouraged them to become responsible citizens. The session was interactive, with students engaging in discussions on constitutional principles, Social unity and national development. The seminar successfully fulfilled its objective of spreading awareness about the essence of Republic Day and inspiring students to contribute towards a more harmonious and inclusive society.
