The student union of Mercy College, Palakkad, ‘Inizio’ organized a program called “Day of Mandela: Respect the Rage” in connection with Nelson Mandela International Day on July 19, 2023, at 12.50 p.m. in the college auditorium for the students of the whole college. The program was entirely student-driven; all the departments came up with at least one medium—a dance, a song, a mime, a skit, or a speech—through which they raised voices against the inequalities in society. Through this, they created awareness among their fellow friends about the need for social change among the young for a better society.
